Friends of Scouting

The Santa Clara County Council conducts an annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign, asking Scouting parents and community members to financially support the council's operations and continued service to youth.

Did you know that the Santa Clara County Council ...

• Receives no federal funding.
• Receives no National BSA funding.
• Receives no United Way Funding.
• Raises 100% of its dollars locally.
• Uses all of the dollars raised to support youth in our community.

What can you do?

• The cost of supporting one boy in Scouting is more than $275 per year.
• We’re asking for $275 per boy (and more if you can afford it and are so inclined).
• To thank you for your generous gift, you will receive a recognition item.

Many employers will match charitable gifts of their employees. Check with your personnel department for further information. This is a great way to make your gift to Scouting count twice
