The Program Department, run by Vice Chief Christian Heavner and Adviser Kevin Pung, run many of the Lodge events. The Program Department oversees 5 committees:
The Dance Committee practices several styles of Native American dance, creates regalia to dance in, and participates in Indian Dance competitions and shows around the Section. If you are interested in seeing a Dance show, want to join the Dance Team, or have any questions, please email the Dance Committee.
- For more information about the Dance Team, check out the Dance Team webpage!
The Special Events Committee helps to organize Miwok Lodge participation in special OA events such as the upcoming National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) at Michigan State University in Summer 2012. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please email the Special Events Committee!
The Lodge Events Committee organizes and runs Lodge Fellowships and the Lodge BBQ. We still need a Chairman and an Adviser, so let us know if you are interested in helping out!! If you have any questions or want to help out, feel free to email the Program Vice Chief about the Lodge Events Committee.
The Cub Scout Relations Committee is the Lodge's link to the Cub Scouts of Santa Clara County Council. This committee is responsible for contacting the local Cub Scout Packs and explaining who we are, what we do, and how we can help them develop and grow. Since many Arrowmen used to be Cub Scouts themselves, we are able to go to Pack meetings and outings to help out. Our Ceremonies Team has also performed hundreds of Crossover ceremonies for Cub Scout Packs around the Council. If you have any questions, please email the Cub Scout Relations Committee!
- If you would like the Lodge Ceremonies Team to perform a Crossover ceremony for your Pack, visit the Ceremonies signup page.
The Scoutreach Committee is responsible for reaching out to Scouts and Scouters that are not a part of the OA. If you have any questions, feel free to email the Scoutreach Committee.
