What’s Next for New Ordeal Members:

Congratulations on obtaining your Ordeal Honor in the Order of the Arrow (OA).  This is the first step for you in the OA.  To best learn what the OA is all about is to participate in its different activities.  The Miwok Lodge is broken up into many different chapters, you know them as districts, and they all have monthly meetings you can attend.  At these meeting chapters will teach you new skills, plan exciting events like camp-o-rees, and just have fun.  To find your out which chapter is yours and a map to their meeting, just click on the following link:

Purpose of the Order:
To recognize those campers – Scouts and Scouters – who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and by such recognition cause other campers to conduct themselves in such manner as to warrant recognition.

On the Trail to Brotherhood:
Your completion of the Ordeal sets you on the path of an exciting adventure. After at least 10 months of active service you will be eligible to seal your membership in the Brotherhood ceremony.The Ordeal has introduced you to the mysteries of the Order. Now, during your service as an Ordeal members, you have ample opportunity to increase your knowledge of the Arrow and to make it work for you.

Committees:
The Chairmen is the Committee's representative to the Lodge Executive Committee and with his staff, is responsible for the smooth operation of his committee and its program. The committees, like the chapters are a core part of the Lodge as they have monthly activities and projects. Other than Chapters, all business and projects of the Lodge are completed in committees.

Events:
Miwok Lodge have several different events each year.  They are Fellowships, Ordeals, Banquets, and Conclaves to name a few.  Some provide service to the Council and community where others are just fun events of brotherhood.
